What is OnLine Learning?
The OnLine Learning (OLL) Program  at Temple University is designed to give students more flexibility in when and how they attend classes, and to enable professionals to continue their education according to their own schedules.   Courses are offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to continuing education students.

How are the courses offered?
Some classes are taught via computer-based delivery, using electronic mail, Listservs, and the World Wide Web.   Others are taught via videoconference, linking students and instructors in two or more locations.  Some classes use a combination of technologies.

What are the advantages of OnLine Learning courses?
Computer-based courses allow you to arrange your class 'attendance' around your own schedule (though assignments are due on the instructor's schedule).  Videoconference courses allow you to attend a class offered on one campus from a campus location closer to you (including Ambler, Center City, Fort Washington, Harrisburg, Health Sciences, and Main Campus) if the course is videoconferenced to that campus. OLL courses can also offer you the opportunity to experience new ways of learning and discovery.

Are these courses different from other Temple courses?
Only the delivery method is different -- courses offered by the OLL program are approved University courses, generally taught by full-time faculty members. Many of the undergraduate courses offered are University Core courses or fulfill the University writing intensive requirement, as designated by the approved prefixes (i.e., C, R, W, X).
